Kris: humidity makes a huge difference. We barely have any, where as at my parents place on the West Coast +2, can feel like a nasty bone chilling temperature.

People say cold is cold, but in my opinion it is not true. There is a dry cold and a humid cold... humid cold is bone chilling a lot faster!

It could just be the cold sometimes it cuts down on production especially (I think) if they're not used to it
