Dixie Chicks

Design is developing... Now if only the snow would flake off!!
Looks good I like the Ample Human doors

Here is my floor plan the whole thing will fit in a 24 x 24 or a pipe corral

All the roosts are at the same level. the guineas will be up at about five feet and the chickens can be placed at any level.that they requare but each breed pen will have the roosts at all the same hight with a single lower one to be an intermediaery landing point. Feed and water will be serviceable from the aisle where the stall mats are. I want to be able to sweep and keep the stall mat area clean. I show a big door its for backing my truck up for unloading. The big door has a people door in it.

The roosts for the guineas I always hang from the ceiling.... I limit the motion and sway by having angled ropes on the ends.... They seem to thrive on them and can run just like they were on the ground

This will be my first coop/poultry house.... and it will be the first one with an actual roof. Here I can get away with a shed roof. or a very low pitch with a ridge.... Six inches high at its highest point. I might try to raise it up a bit with wood to give the guineas a bit more head room.

Oh and for now I am planning on a chainlink sub roof With Hardware cloth overhead of the roosts.

because of the weather here I rarely clean the coops but I am planning on dong poop Trays out of Canvas... Hung under neath the perches. This way the poo dries in an area where the chickens dont walk. They can be cleaned by unhooking the canvas and carrying it out like a little canvas hammock. The poop will be dry and knock right out of the canvas....

I like it deb, what are the detentions? I like your and ALs design of the storage area giving you separated access to each pen... I think I will try tweaking my floor plan...

whats a pipe corral? @NotAFarm I wanted to ask what kind of fish tank heater did you get a glass one or a ceramic one?

pipe corral is an enclousure for horses.... The corral instead of being made of wood is made out of pipe panels clamped together in the corners

It seems my pictures are disappearing .... so every time I ad a new one one drops off.... sigh. Time to clean out my photo section or something.

For a twenty four by twenty four pipe corral to be safe and un moving you have to set some anchor posts in the ground... Two corners work... Opposite each other.

Katees horse corral is 100 x 100 made of three or four pipe corrals bolted together with support posts at each connection.

But each panel is twenty four feet long.

The detentions are the connections between dog kennel panels. Or indications of a hinge. The dog kennel panels are six feet long by six feet tall. I have several that are just plain without a door and some of those can be twelve feet long. I like the modular construction. And I can put them together with just a socket wrench.... Period. So If I wanted to take one of those six by twelve patitions and turn it into a twelve by twelve partition.... Easy peasy even once its all together.... just un bolt the clamps and move one wall up against the next and bolt them in place there.

Here is another....

ahh gee thats a simple nme for that kind of fencing would have figured it had some fancy name lol thanks for explaining

how do you remove a photo you add here I tried to find it but couldnt before
