Dixie Chicks

For this chick it was six weeks previously last that the hen had been exposed to the Light Brahma roo. She was then relegated to the BLRW breeder flock and the Seller sent me an egg that I had to ask her what the backstory was on why my pure BLRW egg hatched out feathered feet. SIX WEEKS!
gosh that is an adorable chick is that the chick from the NYHAL that had the feathered feet you were wondering why it was there? did she promise to send eggs again or anything for the issue that came up?

Yep, that is Oops the NYD HAL second wave of hatching chick. And, yes, I got 12 replacement eggs in the mail today... Unfortunately, I think they got superchilled in transit, so there may not be any BLRW forthcoming if they actually froze. We'll give it a try, but the eggs were really cold when I got them and they had been sitting inside the post office for the whole morning when I picked them up at noon and one had cracks all over it, not from percussion but seeming like expansion.
Sigh.
