regarding veining:

The 30 Trader Joe's supermarket eggs I have in the incubator right now are on Day 18 and headed for lockdown tonight...should be new chicks on Sunday!
The 11 replacement eggs for the mishap BLRW (Oops' eggs) haven't been put in an incubator yet, so no veins thus far.

We had freezing fog last night, so lots of frost this morning. I need to trudge out to the coop to tend to the girls, but sitting at the computer with a cup of coffee sounds so much easier.....

My silkie boy got the crap beat out of him the other day by an Isbar..

is he injured?

The problem was hubby with this. He bought a big round bale with really long cut hay in it. The hay is much longer then the sheep can handle. They take a bite and loose the other half. The bale is contained in a wooden box. Dh cut a hole in it and put page wire across it.

Sam, I like the less hot varieties myself, but hot is fine too. And then I'd like to know what it is I've eaten that isn't hot at all, but instead numbs your whole mouth with the aftertaste, that's a nice variety.

Kris, we're prepared. Has he enjoyed Madventures?

I think he watched that one part and was grossed out......I'm surprised because he has seen much worse.

Kris, maybe the Finns are too tough for him then... I got the Madventures cook book as a Christmas present a few years back. It's the only book I've seen a recipe for placenta in. It's pretty hard core cooking. Many insect recipes too.

He had some blood coming from his comb... He is fine now. I think I was more freaked out then him. I pushed Bama almost to his death trying to get out of the door to get to him.
