The little thermometer thing stuck into the deep thigh part tells you when the meat will no longer kill you.
ya but when do you decide to processd? is it based on size or problem with birds or overcrowding or whatever what makes you decide yes time to process these guys?

Lmao!!! I don't know that there is a quad broiler.. I apparently just don't know how to spell had. Not sue what specific breed the birds were, feed store just called them broiler birds.
I will definitely post more pics, hoping to set up all the delay this weekend and paint.

I wanna do a squarish one for them in the spring so can drag them around the lawn

Had broiler birds last spring/summer. No chicks here yet either....I keep checking.
No special set up, they just ate a lot! Did keep them seperate from the other chickens was all.

Trying to post on the laptop we just got backwith multi quote but it keeps droping the wifi Grrr! Back to the phone so I'm going to skip the quotes.
Yes I'm going to caponize my roos myself, watched a bunch of youtube vids on it, I think I can handle it. Going to practice on other roos first though.
Chicken neck egg drop soup turned out excellent! Just finished the last bowl, nobody else would eat it. Pressure cooker on the necks went perfect, meat came off easy.
Cemani crosses , she is saving them for me she said one is all black even toe nails but hasn't checked tongue yet. She is only keeping the ones that hatch with a clean naked neck. For $80 a pair (I'm getting a trio) I think she wants to make sure I get a roo and pullets.
The other ones, the eggs, he has been hatching out some already and said he will have some closer to spring, I'ts to early for me.
