Dude those rooms change names the farther south you get. They are saying mud porch, my DW from Ohio (blah) calls them mud rooms, in TN we called them the utility room. They are all the same as far a I can tell.

Jem I looked at your pics and your drawing. Good idea! It looks very doable. I would put some eye bolts in at the bottom and hinges on the high side of the roost bars so you can lift it for easy cleaning of the poop board.

I thought about that but dont think it is doable because of the angle... and the poop board would be on the high side so it shouldnt be blocked by the ladder almost more of a ledge in the viod space under the ladder tot he wall...........will give me a "poop free" area under by the chicken door for fod water and just the girls scratching round........hmmm I MIGHT beable to hinge the poop board though so it drops down against the wall....

I'm sorry jem, I just don't follow... Is the poop board going to run the whole length of you ladder roost?

thanks keep the idea's coming if you wanna help.. I been trouble shooting this for a bit the problem is I have a vision but not the words or drwing skills to explain it well enough to @Sharps Big 50 and he doesnt understand why I have certain ideas for the chickens opr my ease of cleaning... it's been a battle royal.. cuz he see the how to and know how but not the why for, which can change the how to..lol if that makes sense...

no the roost would go from the wall to just abnove the nest box.... the poopboard/ledge will just be under probly the first one or two high perchs
