@Cold Canadian That kind of a modification would require a building permit, which I don't think would be easy to get. And it would end up costing quite a bit. The build itself would be easy, there's already a concrete porch with a proper roof there, I would just need to build walls. But it would look a bit weird on the house, and as we're not planning on living here for that long, I don't think it would be worth the effort. Switching the inner door to open in the other direction would be easier, but it would interfere with the bathroom door. There are loads of little tweaks to the plan that might have made it more functional, but it's mostly pretty functional. Our laundry room is completely separated, and I quite like it, you can hide the mess of laundry away from the living space.

Here's our floor plan. The bathroom door actually opens in the opposite direction. And between the sauna/laundry compartment and our apartment there's actually our neighbor's apartment, and their mirrored sauna compartment.

Beer, since I'm using a plastic box as the inside of the little bunny house, I'm going to be able to wipe it clean pretty easily. I'll be able to even hose it down if needed. I might build it so that I can just lift the inside out of it's shell for easy cleaning. Thanks for the input, I hadn't thought of doing it like that before.

Sam, if you haven't mailed it yet, you can throw in a couple of varieties. I'm planning on possibly putting up a mini greenhouse frame on top of my raised beds, so some less cold hardy varieties might work pretty well in that. Plus, if we get a similar summer as last year, almost anything will grow outside well.

If your going to have mini green houses or cold frames I'll throw in a couple more types of tomatoes but they're all indeterminate so they get massive, speaking of massive do you want some squash?
Also a sidenote I don't really have any heirlooms, really funky heirlooms to offer you this year... but if the seeds make it to you and you want some next year I should have some pretty cool looking tomatoes seeds next year.

Thanks Amberjem. I have been spending quite a bit of time at Emory University Hospital. My daughter - in - law had brain surgery there about a month ago. She should be coming to Macon for rehab tomorrow.

Yeah, but seriously, the spot I grew my tomatoes last year was really good, some were up against the house wall, it's brick so it retains heat really well, giving them extra heat, and some were in front of a window, where all the light that missed them was mirrored back at them, making them really productive. My cherry tomatoes grew to be almost 9 feet tall, and produced really well. With a little greenhouse, they'll do even better.
