Dixie Chicks

I think from what I read one of the reasons was to get them to re-feather sooner before it was cold but I'm not totally sure...

also so that the moult is over and done with, and they will get back to production on a time schedule that works with your schedule
 
Is forcing a molt healthy? Or is it like adding light so they lay during winter and is neither here nor there for the chickens?

the baby chicks were outside all day today they did well.....even met the whole gang...it's interesting watching their interactions...they dont seem to be being picked on specifically usuall pecking order thing I did notice spike who is on the low side of the pecking order was making sure they knew she was above them
 
aww we soo need pictures @RavynFallen lol the baby chicks seem to be doing really well...................shouldnt be tooooooooooooooo much longer before they will be out in the henhouse with the gang all the time..
