@JW12 how old are your Lav Orps? Just curious cuz Jim was asking for approx time on that road trip... He's friggin' excited now, lol...


They should be at point of lay. Maybe another 15 days or so I guess the hens are squatting. It the timing could come out right, I will be in Murfreesboro the 2nd or 3d week of March for a district meeting. That would be awesome timing!

Oh, wow!!! Yes, that would be!! We have to go to Colorado again I think the 3rd or 4th of March, so that should be perfect! :D
 
if things work out with the shop and stuff we should be making a road trip back to maryland about then to get a load of stuff from the house there to bring back here to go into the shop/garage.......... boy I will be soo delighted not to hear another i have the tools in maryland lol
 
My understanding is one of the problems with the lavenders is the feathers are brittle not up to snuff ... I think it is fairly comman issue with the lavender gene was a problem with the lavender rabbits the fur being a problem as well......

With chickens if you have fretting of the Lavenders' feathers you just breed black into the gene pool and rebreed the black back out...
 
If we can time it out all of us could meet and eat dinner or something! Good grief that would be fun! I actually have manners and am polite in front of people lol
