FINALLY got that first egg out of one of my 5 m.o. RSL pullets! Been looking at red wattles, red combs and squatting for a month now. Yeah, it's a bit small -- 1.3 oz -- but it's a start. I got a pretty good peck taking it out of the nest box, too.

spring here is started... had a couple of high eighties days so far... The wild Oat Hay is about eight inches tall. Every thing is green... its our green month... February... By March it will be yellow by April the brown starts in... Unless we get more rain ...

its a long story but in order to make it short it was a private sale outside of the auction thread that was originally posted on the auction but got sold to somebody other than the winning bidder because it didn't get paid for fast enough

That's awful.... Awww. I would but I'm not set up for chicks in winter.

Actually have a broody orph right now too. It would be my first hatch.
