so when your buying chicks from the feed store what doi you look for in the chicks that you select to purchase? What quality and or trait do you look at?

I really had no clue as to what to look for except I needed cold hardy breeds.

They will be a year old in April. Will get new pics soon for you, even if the weather doesn't break.

I do okay with raised beds here. I intend to cover them with plastic this year though. I'd like to build a green house cabinet, but I don't have and walls that face the right direction, I'm trying to think of something.

Bama, I've been eyeing the Weber chimney, but the original Weber stuff is super pricey here. Heck, they want 45 euros for a pizza shovel thingy.

We had a high of 20 yesterday and a low of -20. Beyond ridiculous. It's -3 right now. brrrrrrr

I built my own charcoal chimney starter thingy with a piece of old stove pipe. I mainly cook on propane, easier if your only grilling a couple things, or if it's late at night, drunk out and you just want to mow down on a quick burger.
