I been spying on broody violet and the baby chicks they came out today man they are terrorizing her jumping all over her going after her wattles she just cooes at them and snuggles against them....

So in looking for birds to replace what was killed when the tree fell on the coop..... I now have 8 black jersey Giant pullets. They are about a week old.

Eat it, feed it to the birds in the winter... If they all grow I'll give extra seedlings to people... And people buy it... The squash...

We fried some crook neck squash tonight.

harvested a buncha parsley today to dry and took somemore pictures of the garden it's starting to look like spring and a garden!

Well the ancona babies are sold. I've got an order for 15 to 20 ducklings as soon as they hatch.


If I remember my research the body type.and size is more influenced by the hen while the coloring of the ears, eyes, feathers, etc are more influenced by the rooster.

ya it's starting to look like a gardebn not just raised bed now lol and man my dirt in there is looking awesome worms all up inside it as I was digging to transplant some kale in there...so how many chickens do you have now roughly ? do they surprise you with new chicks?
