We fed the same feed to both the RIRs and the turks, grower crumbles.
Some people do keep chickens and turkeys together but there is the risk your chickens will give them blackhead disease.

I have never raised turkeys. I have heard alot of negativity about raising turkeys with chickens.
It would be a good question for Tara.

@Amberjem if you want to go crazy stupid,

I find that geese are the best to buy in the spring, feed all summer on almost 100% grass (as in almost zero feed cost) and then butcher in fall.

However, it is hard to get them to mow the lawn evenly... if I do that again, I am going to use one of those temporary fences to move them around better, as well as keep them from pooping on the front walk to the front door.
