No idea how it works but out of a cross of Rouen and blue Swedish Ducks the majority of my duckling are looking like black Swedish... Neat.

the cool link ya'll posted didn't help much because it didn't have a "dark brown leghorn" button in the dummy section.

It did have Cuckoo, which was good.....   but because I didn't know how to plug in the Leghorn, it didn't help much.

Also, since I didn't get a single brown leghorn, I got lots of black chicks, and a few white chicks... I am thinking that my white birds must be dominant white

I dunno....  I am a bit lost

Might be wrong, but think brown leghorns are partridge color??

I have addiction issues..... one of them is to the internet...


my internet is so slow that it keeps kicking me off of BYC, it is DIAL UP SPEED!

A child ran off with my internet box... I will be without quality internet for almost 2 hours... I might not make it

your rouen are genetically e/e while your blue swedish are E/E with 1 copy of blue. E is extended black and it is dominant. So the babies are genetically E/e. Breed the babies together and you get 75% solid ducklings and 25% pencilled (rouen colored) ducklings.

Don't worry, it wouldn't have worked on my American Gamefowl. They defied all logic.
