I used to do a 1/2 acre of sweet corn. Once I got it knee high it was pretty self sustaining. Didn't require any care from me. Never even had to treat it for bugs of any kind. Dang coon would fight me every night over the stuff though. I've just grown the poultry business so much I'd feel like the garden would suffer if I did it and I'd have wasted the time planting it.

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do on here. You could leave a review on their personal page. It had to be done from a computer. Just like leaving feeback on ebay.

Yup, the woman near me I was supposed to get cemani naked neck crosses (I was getting non NN 'culls') from has a review page just like Ebay, all real good reviews sells eggs and birds. Was really looking forward to them. Then a weasel killed a crapload of her chickens and ducks and her NN roo. Didn't have very good hatches on the crosses, she only got a few NN fibro that she wanted and a few non NN that she promised me. Recently said she didn't think she had a roo available for me with the crosses, some turned out non fibro, but had a couple real nice pullets that are super black. PMd her recently and she said one of the pullets died, and if I didn't want the other one she understood and would keep it for a layer for eggs. Don't know what to think, just super sad and disappointed, haven't answered her yet, how could I start some fibro meat birds without a roo and a pullet?!! Why would I drive 2 hours for one bird when I was expecting a trio? I'm super sad

so I did the wrong thing and bought some stupid silkies and am going to cross them with giants and langshans and see what happens!

I wanted cemani crosses, at least they are real chickens and have actual feathers.

More kids less garden for us. Darn wife wouldn't help much when she was 8, 9 months pregnant, I can't do everything myself! We had a huge 50'x60' garden for years, took good care of it tons of produce, and it seemed like we leftmost of it to rot when it came time for processing so I did away with it last year. I brought in a pile of swiss chard one time that filled our kitchen table two foot deep, she freaked, I didn't even cut half of it down Lol! Get to work woman! Huh? Nah I don't think you will have the baby until tomorrow Lol! Get to work!

(that really didn't happen exactly like that, God I hope she doesn't read that, but she was close Lol, I didn't know?!)After watching 'Food Inc.' though I think we are starting back up this year, and no more babies on the way Lol!
