I agree, don't like the feathered legs on Marans... pain in the a**...

@Outpost JWB that cross *should* give you good odds for a green egger... anything crossed with CLB's or Am's are considered EE's, just predicting egg color in crossing crosses becomes a gamble...

Can I whine about the use of English by BYC users? How hard is it to spell the word definitely? In about 70% of cases I read that people are defiantly going to do this and that. Defiantly and definitely have completely opposite meanings. Seriously, it's not that difficult.

I love the adds that say "pure bread" dog for sale

Or the use of to.... too.... and two.

spell checker doesn't catch these mistakes.

I am a misspell-er because I like color spelled as colour..... and grey spelled as gray and sometimes I spell mistakes as misteaks... food on the mind....

British have clean legged langshans, I think they look dumb.

I think the build and type of Langshans just seems made for those feathered legs, tho... and Brahmas...

Also, Marans are supposed to only have a line of feathers down outside edge of the leg and the outside toe... kinda weird IMHO...

@Alaskan
Doesn't the American standard call for feathered feet? Is there a American standard for Marans?

yes, the American standard (voted in recently... Maybe 2011) decided to follow the FRENCH standard

So soon all of the lovely Cuckoo Marans in the US will have feathered feet too.
