DH's dog is still missing. I think I failed to mention that. Also, as some of you know, this is not my first go around with Pepper (the dog) attacking the chickens. UGH! It most worries me that now she is at large and who knows what will happen. One time she was gone nearly a week and when she came back, she had whip worm. She adds much stress to my life.....![]()
You all have a good day!
that is just SO WRONG!I saw on that tv show 'Dirty Jobs' where he went to a turkey farm. Well those big white turkeys can't breed naturally so they gave him a bottle with a straw going in and one going out. They made him suck the sperm into the bottle with his mouth. Gross!!
I think I would invest in some sort of battery operated one.
Looks like Sharps is making good progress in the bathroom![]()
that looks like loads of work... but how do you keep it from getting wet?
@RavynFallen
That is one cool egg, I'd keep it. Blow it out and save it.
mostly poplar, some birch and a little bit of pine.Is it hard wood? That really gets Alaskan going when you have hard wood, that's all we burn around here. Alaskan only has soft wood.
We use the soft wood for sending to paper mills, lumber, telephone poles, we have tons of it, but we also have tons of hard wood. I split some birch today, that stuff smells yummy. Shame I'm still feeding the wood boiler this time of year. But it is nice I'm only feeding it once a day instead of three. It was 28F last night.

Quote: I too vote to keep it forever.
If you are worried that you will not be able to blow it out correctly... then DON'T, keep it as is. If you can manage to keep it without cracking, it will actually keep evaporating until everything inside is totally dried up.
My mom has one like that in Houston... super humid down there, and it still worked for her.
