Dixie Chicks

I can verify that! 2 different boxes, not a broke egg in either... unfortunately there is nothing that can help the egg inside the shell if it is shaken too much, courtesy of the PO machine sorter...

Mini, I think the grey drake will be ok... hoping, and thinking positive... I checked him over and no external wounds at all... he was twitchy about his back end/tail area and looked like a few pin feathers were bent against the grain?? Thinking maybe that is what is hurting??

So I have to keep my eye out I got an extra egg yesterday I think someone started laying :)

In pullet news, I think our soon to be three month olds are starting to get a bit of red in their combs. I could really use some early layers this time around. Karin is already talking about taking in a couple of production birds :O

Yay for new projects and new layers. I wouldn't mind another hen that lays colored eggs.

Yay for lots of eggs. Mine I think are still under stress from the fox. 6 hens give me at most 4 eggs.

Never had a day where all my hens have laid.

I wonder how our chickens would react to a visit from a fox. It couldn't get into the run, but it might make some noise. I think the chickens wouldn't be too worried though, they're pretty used to our dogs. The bunnies actually come up to the net and say hi to the dogs.

ya I know you got to recover set up and heck I got to get them laying also lol.....yes the dark cornish are pretty darn kewl... I like their speckled look...anyways let me know I am still on the fence about keeping doing the dark cornish.... they dont exactly fall into the cuddily chicken category like I like lol

so far the Brahma's are my favorite... followed by the wyandotte, and orpington....I'm leaning more n more torwards the wyandotte... they have such nice bodies, are good tempered without being total wusses like the orpington...they seem to pack alot of personality lol........ come in lotsa kewl colors and my gosh they been egg laying machines.........and I like their comb
