Dixie Chicks

I just had the most interesting duck sale ever. Sold 3 hens for layers to a young girl. Her battery died and I had to figure out how to jump start her car from mine. I have jump started cars before, I know how but this new car has a certain process or it will short a bunch of stuff out.

Any of you chicken hatchers ever heard of Hatchright spray, you spray the eggs with it before incubating?

I heard another member used it as well... said they couldn't see a difference either way... :idunno

Gotta love the newfangled stuff they come up with... :/

That makes 1 person I know who raised meat rabbits successfully this year. A friend of mine failed, the babies became pets, aka "breeding stock", right!

If you are interested, I have some young Cayuga drakes that are extras. ~5 months old. Still working on final plans, but I am meeting someone for ducks half way between here and Vancouver Island in the next little while.

Thanks for the offer. I'm not sure on their size though, my ducks are heavy weights. Would a Cayuga be a match for my drake?

I have learned a whole lot about Chanteclers than I ever thought I would, LOL.

Beercan, that picture on the previous page is my Jersey girl. I was taking a spider picture and she walked up and pecked my lens.

MORNING! Glad to see you're doing well. Was beginning to think you quit your own thread.....? LOL!

Just made an emergency run to the coop. The roosters (about 10 of the grown ones) were sounding the alarms. I ran out there to see if anything was in the have a heart traps or in the coop or whatever. As soon as I got back there a cat ran out of the run area. I caught this same cat last year & let it go. When I catch it this time, I will not let it go around here. It got dark quick last night at feeding time & we couldn't get an accurate count on the baby chicks. They manage to get out of the dog house we have for them and then they cant get back in. Mama hen clucks and clucks until all 5 babies are in place.

Anyone else's molting? Mine are REALLY molting. We got 8 eggs yesterday

I was looking for a new nest somewhere because our normal is 20+ a day. I seen feathers everywhere and bald spots all over the girls which has been starting, but is now in full blown molt.

You all have a great day. I've got to get ready for work. Its all quiet here now except for DH talking in his sleep

. Hoping he doesn't wake himself up.

Glad you took this the way I intended...thanks on that...

No, sounds like a scam to me... I wouldn't buy it.
