Sinus issues last night. But still went walking with my cousin this morning

. As promised, here are pics of Mr. T.


This was him as a cockerel. The barred rock was his brooder mama. Black astro is step sister. LOL!


It is quite dark back at the coop with only one hanging light back there. He roosts near the light though. His legs are gray. Notice the heart shaped feather patterns on him.

His waddles kind of curl instead of hang flat. He has black tufts and a beard too.


We all love chicken butts don't we

Haha, all that's missing is a huge gold chain!

No eggs being hatched here yet, but we should get some powerlayer eggs next week. Also, I think we'll try and hatch out some more easter eggers.

Baby bunnies from the later hatch came out of their nest for the first time yesterday. Lighting was really bad, so I didn't get any pictures, but all four are growing at a tremendous rate. They mostly hid behind their nest box, so we scooped them up and put them back into the nest, but I think that in a few days they'll start exploring a bit more.

Powers been out twelve hours just came on and another wind storm is threatening to hit.

People next door lost a tree and their patio. They say this storm is NOT el nino... I believe it because its Freaking cold wind. And blowing the wrong direction.

Trees here are braced for east west west east wind. This is racing up the canyons coming from the south.

I have only seen it blow like this once before.... in San Diego. About thirty years ago. WE were due.

We had wonderful weather yesterday. DHs daughter was here yesterday. She & I don't always get along. She's due to have baby #2 on Valentine's day. They spent the nice day inside talking & watching tv. I (finally) got Christmas decorations put up & then fired up the log splitter. That thing is awesome! Filled up the log rack, now ready for more snow if it happens.

I have eggs due the 10th and 16th, and then I plan to do another batch with my own egg because my two hens are laying again!
The extra eggs I added to my first batch are all developing. Well one got tossed yesterday big old blood ring... Not bad for fridge eggs!
