Dixie Chicks

Gave up on starting my own sweet potato slips. Taters been in water for a month. Took the tooth pics out of them and threw them in a bowl of scraps for the chickens.
Then wife noticed there is a few little roots starting on them.
Tooth pics back in, back in some water. Maybe I'll get some slips off them after all. :)
put em in dirt :) with lil of the top out

The 1588 is awesome

That's what I'm getting, per your and others recommendations.
Finally have the $ in the bank.
Giant breeders are now segregated. Thinking of ordering Naked Neck hatching eggs instead of chicks so I can fill it. Only two giant hens will be some old eggs to get enough. I've heard people having good luck with three week eggs. Just don't know why hatching eggs cost almost as much as chicks...

We have never touched the settings buttons. Factory settings are dead on

All the vids I watched showed suspending them in water, then harvesting the slips as the pop out and putting the slips in water till they root good.
Seems like you could put half the tater in dirt, I might try it with these two. Now that I know these store bought ones will grow I'm going to try a few more.
Might have been slow cause it might not have been warm enough for them.
Sweet potato plants are weird, I didn't know they were like cool vines.

My incubator issue was just a lose cord... Where the power cord plugs into the incubator, right by temp adjustment it was slightly lose. Makes sense, I'd been in there a lot adjusting the temp.

Hope your eggs are ok Jem

Beer my mom starts sweet potatoes in water, well over a jar of water just touching the water a bit all the time. They make really pretty house plants.

We added two day old pullets today, they are super flegmatic in comparison.

do you mean phlegmatic.

""(of a person) having an unemotional and stolidly calm disposition.
synonyms:calm, cool, composed, 'calm, cool, and collected', controlled, serene, tranquil, placid, impassive, imperturbable, unruffled, dispassionate, ""
