I kicked my chicks out about two weeks ago (two groups about 3 weeks old and 2 weeks old), in my upper pen in the coop with a heat lamp and a heating pad, they're fine. Accidental turned the power off in the coop one night still fine. It was -10 C outside overnight, so between -10 C and zero in the coop, they did fine (luckily). Using a seed sprouting mat in my brooder inside, it's working great, really great for $13. Lol

That stuff cracks me up! I don't remember what one it was, reality show, dude drank his piss wife couldn't do it. Wow! She got taken out emergency for dehydration...eat a freaken cactus!!!
That show, Survivorman with that dude Les, he was a moron! Had a show in upstate NY, eating worms by a nice trout stream....I could have caught his fill off yummy trout without even trying!!! Worms are for fish dude!!!

I went through h@!! to get those friggin EE's locked up in one pen... those suckers were serious B&E artists! Every day I found their eggs in a different coop...

But finally got the Lav cock I got from DMRippy with his own group of girls, should have pure Lavs from them by beginning of April... can get you more eggs then... and more Silkies...

I've been a week trying to catch my xtra giant cockerel. No success luring him into other coop with food. Built a chicken catcher, no luck. Just tried to pick him up in the dark, off like a shot.
Pellet rifle might be my only option....
