Dixie Chicks

:lau didn't you want him for breeding???

I have two, other is closer to SOP. Other is slighty bigger and has darker legs and has been the boss. This one escaped through a hole in the top netting, probably only spot he could have where it is attached to the fence, while I was capturing all the sussex and moving them. I was going to move him too. I've thrown corn in the other coop hoping he'd go in, he won't. I left the run I moved for the giant breeders open last night hoping he'd go back in, the others did, he roosted on a cinder block. By our house. Tried catching him in the dark this morning, thought it would be easy, nope.
I plan on eating him just haven't had time to butcher. I don't want something else eating him first. He's been out over a week now, sick of chasing him.

No cast net, thought about making one with a tarp. I'm going to try again tonight in the dark, if I can find him, last night was the first time I saw where he was sleeping. Forgot about him, woke up before daylight, snuck up behind him in the dark, almost got my hands around him.
Built a chicken catcher with a metal bucket handle bent and attached to a broom handle with a hose clamp, he won't cooperate.
I can get about six feet from him. I think he thinks he's a crazy leghorn. The other giants I can catch fairly easily.

I don't plan on eating him yet. Was going to put him in the big coop, escaped the 'enclosed' run. I want to pluck him and two red sussex cockerels for roasting, and skin a few non-laying hens for the pressure cooker. Just don't have the time right now. I might have to give him a headache with the pellet rifle Sunday. I'll be P'Od if something eats him first.
