yep yep collected a buncha slim branchs for the wine cap mushroom planter bed...harvested my shiitake the other day for stir fry yum...have the alder logs getting ready for shiitake plugs and figured might as well do the stump also

Knock me over with a feather.... Antique shipped eggs... And look what I have!!!

That is 4 chamois colored Appenzeller Spitzhauben chicks, and one that I think was supposed to be a silver crossed to chamois? But its color is wild! Coolest thing ever!

I might even end up with a couple more chicks... Give me two days and I will tell ya.

Can't tell ya how happy I am, I have been so very wanting this color, I think it is the prettiest color to ever sit on a chicken.

Actually nope... These are not from an auction... They are from a sweet wonderful person who has some, knew I wanted some, and sent me some eggs.


The eggs got lost by the post office for over a week..... So I am floored that they hatched so well.

Because these eggs were so old, she sent me a second set that will hatch next week.

I am so excited... With this many chicks, I should have a good breeding set.
