I had no idea...heck I even remember my aunt doing it with some chicks... I do know the broody hen has to be deeply broody...if they are on the fence about it no go....and if the chicks are to far along... well I am glad she is a good mama

bama'mama is being a good broody mama, I opened up the egg house today and in walked my top flock leader violet into the hen house out she came with bama'mama clamped onto her tail, she has the whole flock on behave and mind your P's and Q's
