The babies I got from California. (Papa's Poultry). All are doing very well.
This one was suppose to be a CCL cockerel. Pretty sure its a bielefelder pullet. I got her from a BYC friend in Maryland. Not complaining. She is a really good chicken. The breed is one I had considered, but dismissed due to such hot temps in summer here.
Sorry I haven't been on. Two months ago got a diagnosis that my 10 y.o. greyhound, Tibbs, was in Stage 4 kidney failure, so have been very focused on his care and maintenance. On Sunday 7/3 our other dog, Gabby -- a 13 y.o. St. Bernard cross who essentially raised Tibbs from a puppy -- died due to irretrievable complications (organs shutting down) of an abdominal mass that we had been monitoring over a year that suddenly decided to wreak havoc on her health. Yesterday 7/9 Tibbs succumbed to his illness and died at home in our arms. Both dogs were rescues and quite indulged and really awesome creatures living happy lives right up 'till the end. It has been a rough week and, needless to say, feeling pretty gut-punched raw here. (Tibbs at the dog park) Tibbs & Gabby hogging the sofa. (I never did get my Snuggie back)
