:th   you play huh?  do me a favor and don't fall off a cliff....I like you.

Weasels and stoats can get in a hole the size of a quarter.  :barnie

I am keeping the traps baited with chicken heads for one more week... then I will buy hardware cloth :he and my lovely free coop will probably become a $1000 coop!!!!!

And just now I heard coyote howls!  sheesh!  everyone should be buttoned up well enough (I have three that I bring into the house every night, one of those is my only bantam wheaten ameraucana), but with my luck they will probably bash their way in somewhere -sigh-

X2 @vehve! I swear, if my house were a Pokemon stop, my son would come around more than once a week! When I talk to him, he & wife are out at unusual places-for them-hunting Pokemon.

@Alaskan coyotes are very common here. See them at least once a week. I always hear them after 10pm.

Today seems like a great day to call out sick....but I'm not going to. It's POURING down rain, lightning, thunder, 5am, and my boss put it on my calendar that we are having lunch today.:th. I like my new job, but it's very mentally demanding. I don't concentrate well.....maybe I have ADHD? Anyway, on top of that, I think I am the one out of 20 people there that does not have a college degree. My boss is a 70 year old genius. No kidding. And at lunch he will carry on about work, work, work, work. Last time we went to lunch, we went to one of his favorite places in town. I work in a bad part of town. The floors were so sticky my shoes were sticking and making noises as I walked. :sick. I kept thinking, if they can't manage to mop their floors, who is cleaning the kitchen? Grossed me out & I was afraid to eat there. Wish me luck.

@Outpost JWB yeah, place ain't clean imagine what the kitchen looks like, ever watch 'Restaurant Impossible'? Some of the places Robert Irvine helps out, no way would I have, gross.

We went to a different dentist, hard to find a pediatric dentist around here, 40min drive. Had a appointment, waited a hr, kid had to go pee, DW came back with her and said we're leaving. "That's the most disgusting bathroom I've ever seen, they can't clean a bathroom they're not touching my kids teeth!" She said it LOUD so everyone in the place could hear Lol! :-D

I think I might have lost a couple white naked necks, not sure, thought I had four, now only two, I could be wrong IDK. Hard to count them, I know I'm supposed to have 15, don't have a clue how many of the other's I have with them, 30+. First couple times I counted, 12... then 14,13,15....
I'm going to have to take them out one by one I guess.
It's time to anyway, selecting all cockerels out except for two NNs.
Got a capon tool kit last week from poco pollo. :-D
I have around 15 that will be undergoing the 'procedure'.

Wasn't going to keep any of the whites, but now that I changed my mind, little disappointed there's only two, dang I'm sure there was four. Have someone local trying raising out cornishX to laying age, said if it works out I can get some from her, going to try a cross with the NN cockerel.
400

And the other cockerel I'll be keeping for breeding all the rest, he's BIG :)

I almost added some naked necks to my flock this past spring. They are so cool just don't know if I could butcher the unneeded ones. I have just enough breeds as it is.......well, maybe just one more next spring. :p

Dang.... Thise birds are....uh.....naked necks. :lau

I agree with your and the dentist. Odd though, you live in a state with a zillion people... Where are the dentists?

Where the zillion people are Lol!
There is dentist's in our area just no pediatric one's that take young kids.
NY has several small cities just like any other state. The majority is all in one little area of NYC and Long Island.
The Catskill Mountains where I live in the 'foot hills' opposite side away from the City and the Adirondack Mountains are no different than the Southern Appalachia, except we have much colder winters Lol! We have either a 30min drive or a 45min drive the other way to the nearest 'big box stores', and that's 70mph highway time.
