Bacon.......



I have a bunch of feathered pigs, AKA ducks... They are looking good, but I would like to wait another 2 months I think.

Duck bacon? Guess it's no different than the "turkey bacon" we tried once. . Can't believe they put BACON on the package. Kept telling my family "it's a lot healthier for you". Sometimes healthier is gross.

I've caught DH talking nicely to the cat. He fought me for months regarding that cat. She was rescued from a local park that people always dump off cats. What was I to do really? This little grayish blue kitten came walking up to us while we were grilling out, celebrating getting our new car, and she looked up at us with big wide eyes and meowwed. Now she is a big cat that runs around the property catching mice and moles and puts them all on the step in the back porch so we can see her trophies. What's not to love?

Prosciutto.... is different than bacon more like a cured ham. and you can make it out of duck.

Exciting news! I sold 12 hens. Cheap cheap, because he was DD teacher last year and we are friends now. He called and said raccoons killed off most of his flock. He waited out at the coop one weekend after they killed off so many and he shot and killed 22 raccoons. Now that his coop is buttoned up and the raccoon population is better, he needs more chickens. I am only charging him $7 per hen. But it will help me too. I don't need to feed 116 chickens all winter. Have a great day, I've got to go catch chickens!

I know! I checked out his coop today. Run area has cinder blocks all around the bottom buried down a few inches and hardware cloth top to bottom. Coop was a nice sturdy barn (unlike mine)! I guess it's the sheer number of raccoons. That's what I'd think.

Just got back from a concert- 3 Doors Down. They are awesome. Nice night for a concert.
