There are annual craft fairs here locally  I will check in to those....  As well as Etsy.   But before I go on line I want to be able to show a product line....  Things I can do easily and premake up to a point;.

I am also thinking of joining the San Diego Gemological society.   I am sure they have events and sources I could spend months digging up.  

I really like the idea of working in copper and silver.   diametrically opposites in price but equally stunning   For the silver I can go with silver filled  Thicker layer over copper. 

Remember the hearts I did in the colors of wire I have?   I just bought a string of beads that would be suitable to do the same to illustrate color...  and get practice in working a design that i really like.

Do you all have county fairs? We have big ones, agriculture oriented but the booths/tents are everything and a lot of crafts. They make big $$ in a short time with little overhead and commission is minimal. Bet you'd sell lots.

We have the Del Mar Fair....  but I suspect there is a lottery for getting a booth Not to mention big bucks...  I am not up to that scale of effort.  Were talking really big with people who travel from fair to fair.

Wow! I thought our county fair, Delaware was too crowded some days, 80,000 people a yr. 130yrs old last yr. All other county fairs around are smaller. There is 52 county fairs in NY every yr and I thought ours was one of the largest, guess not looking at the rankings, Erie county fair is larger than our state fair, 1.2 million visitors, our state fair is 965,000. I haven't been to our state fair in yrs.
According to carnival warehouse.com your Del Mar fair ranks #6 our Erie #10.
Our county fairs are mostly local people for the booths and food vendors, some are travelers. Guy I work with has a little ice cream stand in town, and a traveling ice cream stand that he takes to a few fairs. He makes tons of $$.
Pretty big names for the Sat grandstand concert. Not sure who's playing this yr yet but we'll be able to go, I usually have to work and miss most of them.
Yrs ago saw Brad Paisley, Marty Raybon from Shenandoah played first, both were Awesome!! Excellent showmen, really got the crowd involved and going.
Most recently Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Montgomery Gentry, couple others don't remember.
When Lady Antebellum played I found out there is security at our fair and they were on top of it. I don't know how they did it but the band must have some way to instantly notify security cause in like a split second the music stopped mid song and all the lights came on instantly. I thought the big guy, Charles Kelley, in the band was going to jump right off stage and beat the crap out of some people that were apparently fighting in front of them. After some words he got them calmed down, made some jokes about it and got the crowd happy happy and then the band played on.

I just got another commission.... quoted a price and they doubled it.....
