DIY Automatic Waterer

That's a great job! Now I wish I could trust the ducks with it!!!!! NOT!

Anyhow....I like the lightbulb idea for cold weather- my only concern is how close it is to the bucket lid and if it might start to melt through?!? A simple solution to that is to get a bit of insulation with aluminum lining (the kind they use inside light fixtures in homes)....Just a thought.

I got nothing against your light idea, I just don't need it. It is high summer here and in my life I have never seen snow. We don't have your kinds of cold...

I had to use another valve, we don't have one like yours, but it works and one is already operational. my holes for drinking is also lower than yours because this one I test drived on all my teen chickens!

I gonna make it a permanent fixture and not use a garden hose. In the next week coming, I will install a permanent water line to there. Also, the water pressure is to strong for my garden hose fittings.. It leaks..

GREAT idea!!! Too bad I don't live in a warmer climate.

I am one of those that water and electricity gives the heebie jeebies.
