DIY CABINET COOLER INCUBATOR How we did it and TEST RUN Ready Set GO!

I not totally sure. Mine is close since the "eye" is not small. I just used as a general idea on temps. Never used it for incubating. I checked the brooder with it. It read 176, lol it was detecting the lamp cover.

Before and after pictures of the wine fridge incubator project. First pictures of before I did anything to it...

and after stripping off all the compressor stuff.

I am thinking I'll leave the panel inside on the back and use it to conduct warm air downward like the part you added onto the back of the Coolerbator. I'm trying to think this through but I'm not very good at figuring this kind of thing out on my own. I did break down and order an "incukit" so I don't have to think my way through that part...just the set up and tinkering to get temps adjusted right. (I hope)

Oh how I would love to find one like that in the Philippines

Can't quite fit that in a golf bag!

I read up to page 11, so if this has been discussed in the pages in between forgive me.
My last modification to my home made fridgabator was to add a second wafer thermostat.
Something to think about- the snap switch on the wafer is normally closed so a failure will cause the heat to never turn off-- cooking your eggs.
So what I have done is wire 2 thermostats in series, the 1st set at 99.5, so it can control temps during normal incubation. The 2nd thermostat is set at 101.5, so if the 1st one fails the 2nd thermostat catches the temp control at 101.5.
So while your in the middle of a run and the temp jumps to 101.5, you know the 1st thermostat has failed. Then you simply adjust the 2nd down to 99.5 and continue the hatch.
But you won't cook your eggs.

Well, mine is complete! :/ It is finally inside my house, and been running over night to find the right temp range... AGAIN, because my bf couldn't be patient and jacked it WAY up to 106 when we plugged it back in!!
Now today to move thermometers all around and be sure its the same everywhere! Fingers crossed it works so I don't have to remove rack #4!!!!
