If u used those, could u not attach the rod underneath of the tray, to open up those extra 18 slots?
it wouldnt be stable underneath. Thats why we didnt put it under.

I have found that if the rod could get centered somehow it would be better for adding and removing trays, because I have to remember to place eggs evenly weight wise on each side of the rod, only because when I remove trays it can get a tilt factor if they are not all somewhat equal, meaning I cant have two full rows in the back and one in the front.

I guess a holder tray would be best, but at this time I am not making one, as I am careful enough. I can easily see how someone not paying attention could have a major issue with the trays like this. so perhaps its in eveyones best interest to make a frame to hold these trays.

I am sure someone shows how to make them somewhere on the thread, if you find a link hook us up.

I have the Easter HAL mini fun night to work on this week and I dont have time to research these! sorry!

I just ordered 2 of these things for $15 bucks a piece. They say they are accurate to within .3 degrees! They sound awesome for incubator use!!

there are some brands of these that can be either/or heating and cooling while there are others that are heating or cooling only. thes is a heat OR cool model

the cooling circuits have a delay built in to protect the condenser of a refridgerating unit, when the unit is heating OR cooling the delay is also on the heating circuit. you may be able to adjust it.

the stc-1000 model is either or - seperate circuits and thus no delay on the heating. I will only buy this brand now

I have one with a delay that I pit on my hatcher. I had to do a lot of tweaking to get my internal egg temps right as the bator has a pretty significant swing. it still works though.

its just a number 37.5 is 99.5
Yes, but you must understand. I get up for work at 5am. After my shower, I dress and go out to the porch of the chick nursery for a smoke. Then I go in and check the brooders and incubators. I am still waking up! The first time I went to an incubator and saw 37.5 I would have a STROKE! lol
