Since my chicks are getting big, the Mason jar feeder and watering stations just weren't able to keep up with their demands anymore. Shopped around and found that the basic gravity auto stations are EXPENSIVE, far more expensive IMO than they should be. Since I also have indoor cats, I had a couple litter tubs laying around and for $16 (only purchases I made were 2pvc couplings, epoxy, watering cups, everything else I had on hand) made two 3gallon stations with feed and water level windows to take out the guesswork of how full they are. Pretty happy with how they turned out and didn't take that long except the epoxy and silicone cure times. The chicks haven't quite figured out the new watering station, but I'll keep dipping their beaks in daily until I see everyone using it on their own, they LOVE the new feed station though, the fatties lol.
