Not sure if this is possible honestly, but thought I'd put it out there. Wanting to make homemade hanging horse treats for a friend of mine for Christmas, our horses as well. Every recipe I look at is 50% corn syrup, then more granulated sugar on top of that. 
My horse doesn't have issues with sugar, but I don't even eat that much of that stuff, Misty doesn't need it either.
Is there anyway to avoid all this sugar? I'm guessing no since thats what solidify's the treat, but though I'd put it out there. Are there any alternatives to this type of treat? I love the hanging idea. Thanks guys!
