yep they sell their scraps from projects by the pound... Sometmes you only need a piece.... Like when you make an air conditioner window seal.

But I have bought one inch thick polycarbonate for machining into tooling for the Biomed industry. Delrin too.

One more thing, $11.23 is the ten fer price, $14 something apiece otherwise, but the shipping is what gets you, anyway. IMO if you couldn't use ten yourself, maybe split an order with someone? Also, for those of you in the east, shipping of course may be a lot higher so maybe find a supplier closer? Isn't that always the way it is? Of course I want vinyl coated 1/2" hardware cloth for my coop and I can't find THAT on this (the west) side of the country! Except at ACE, in too small a roll. Sigh.

Spread this out a little so it's easier to cut and paste for a google search.....

Just for what its worth. Lexan is also Polycarbonate. Home depot carries it....

edited to add: If its on the interent at Home Depot even if they dont carry it in the store you can order it and have it delivered to the store.... No delivery charges.

and for what its worth Acrylic is NOT the same stuff. .... not nearly as resiliant.

ACE Hardware?? Ask them if they can order in a larger roll. That's where I got my HC, great price with no shipping charge as they just tacked it onto their weekly order.

I took another look at the shipping of 10 -2 x4' x 1/32" sheets from RidOut/Eplastics in San Diego to various destinations. it looks indeed to be one flat rate of $37 to the 2 or 3 zips I entered, including NJ AND VA. Nice to know Home Depot has it, and in 4' x8' too, but this is such a better price I think I'll try them first.
FYI, you shouldn't have to have it cut if it's already a good size. 2 x 4' is about as big as shipping is reasonable on tho I think so I'll take that price.

Good idea. How does it work? I made my whole floor a drawer. 6 feet by three. I have a plug in the corner so the poop and shavings can just be swept out into a wheelbarrow.

these aren't inventions Per say, but here is my chicken ladder complete with poop slide into easy empty pans.
