My run and coop are no where near finished and is really only temporarily until I move to a bigger property. My coop also need a paint job. Lol.

My Muscovies (my drake fought my dog recently. Thats why his feathers are missing) have a habit of climbing the fencing so instead if going and buy a netting I had a leftover trampoline net that I was no longer using. Cut it in half and zip tied it to the top of the pen. And tada! It works brillantly! Especially since I have four other birds that fly in with them (2 mallards, Red and Black Star).

I also have a pop can roofing on my coop Ill post pictures for a little later.

Im all about recycling for my projects :D Only spent ten dollars for the whole thing

I just went through all 75 pages of this thread!! Wooooo!!! Finally :) everyone on here has such good ideas it started my mind thinking! Lol

Wanted to add one tho... I had an old tractor tire I used for a brooder...finicky breeds I wouldn't suggest for this... But my NN's did great and the natural design of the tire gave them a little perch! Plenty of room no drafts and easily covered with chicken wire. Just string up the light in the middle or lay on wire. They have a nice dark spot to sleep in and can get to the light to get warm if need be! It worked out great until they got old enough to go outside now they use them as nest...

I wanted to put in there tho, if anyone wants to try this. NEVER NEVER put the heat lamp directly on the tire! The tire when heated to high temps can leach chemicals into the air that can kill birds...

I think it worked. The catcher is laying on a sheet of white corugated roofing. I hope this helps.

Worked a treat Byron! Nice work. I have a small enough area with a small enough flock I can usually gather up who I want, but if it is ever a problem, this is the tool I will make to help me! Thanks.
