I haven't actually seen that one, I have seen the one where they cut out a large portion of the PVC pipe at the bottom but that other design just looked easier. No cutting involved.
That might be the one but I can't see if those are holes cut in the bottom or if that is the kind that there is a long rectangle shape cut off the top? The rectangle kind is the option I was originally thinking about doing, but holes may cut down on waste.....?That may have been me.

Seems like a good idea. I wonder how long it would take chickens to learn how to love a moving roost? I wonder if it would work with a ladder style roost that is hinged at the back...hmmm!has anyone done this? How well do you think it would work?
What happens if they get spooked at night and they panic?
Howabout photo eyes around the inside of the coop. Hens hop down start walking around photo eye is interupted and tells the coop door to open.
