Ooh I looked at the thread and he did a nice job on it. I had been puzzling about making that satellite dish water proof and he did it simply. lined one with Styrofoam insulation then stacked it on top of the other. Very simple way to go. Then it looks like he added a canvas cover.

If anyone wants to do a Cone shaped cover let me know I can work out the pattern you need. There are two ways. If you are working with canvas you simply make a tuck to fold a cone shape. But if you are working with sheet metal or even thin wood I can do a layout that will give you the correct pitch and diameters.

Somebody posted a link to a temporary fence made from 2x4 lumber with a cross brace at the bottom and a wooden turn latch at the top to just hold the fencing material against the wood. It is being sold by a company, I believe. I cannot find it again, to save my life, so I'm asking in every thread I subscribe to. If you posted it or saw it, please direct me to it, again. Thanks so much!

here are my stage 1 (day 0-18) and stage 2(day18-hatch) Junkubators and my double tank brooder my hubby built for me.










whole top easily removes to get to the "workings" and to transport chicks to brooder.


hubby just made me a candler too...

I followed a link to that off of Craigslist. let me see if I can find it. But if you are handy at all this is something you could make yourself at a fraction of the price hes asking for it......
