I’ve always gotten the two confused. What’s the difference between, “affect“ and “effect.”
Something affects something else by having an effect on it.
You affect something with your actions.
Your actions have an effect on something.
 
I’ve always gotten the two confused. What’s the difference between, “affect“ and “effect.”
It’s a commonly confused word, I’m not surprised you are unsure. But it’s important you learn to use them correctly.

Affect is a verb, and is the influence of something, and effect is both used as a noun and verb, meaning to bring about a result, or the result of something.
