I used this service to sex my 16(!) 2-3 day old chicks. It wasn't expensive compared to the cost of the excess work in raising the boys, and it was a steal compared to the emotional expense of growing attached to them and having to let them go. The fact that DNA sexing exists allowed me to buy from a breeder, since the vast majority sell chicks as straight run, as opposed to a hatchery. I absolutely would not have done that without this option. And it didn't take 3 weeks - it took less than 1 week. If you hatch your own chicks, she can even do it from the shell, which in my mind is amazing.
