Do all drakes make this noise?

I have a Rouen drake named Noah. He's 22 weeks old and loves his 2 girls. We want to get maybe 2-3 more females next year but for now he has his little Luna (mallard) and Xena (rouen). It makes me chuckle when after he mates with the girls, he falls off and springs back up and makes this whistle sound. All I can picture in my head is him going "woohoo!" and it makes me laugh. I wish I had a better video where you can hear it better. He doesn't make that whistle every time either. It just amuses me.

As a side question. What is he doing when he does this?

Is he farting? Is he cleaning his, er.. wiener area out? He'll do it if the girls are around in pool with him or without them around. Doesn't matter. Am just curious. Thx!

My Runner drake does the whistle after mating and he also does the what ever that is in the second video. It really hilarious, I had never seen that with my Muscovy drakes so was pretty surprised when my Runner did this stuff. Like oldhenlikesdogs said they are sure full of themselves.

I learned the other day that drakes have an air sac that other birds don't have. I think the syringeal bulla is what makes this sound.

"Drakes and Cobs (male swans) have an enlarged osseous bulla on the left side of the syrinx which acts as a resonator. "

The avian air-sac system in a duck:
(i) nasal passages; (ii) infra-orbital sinus; (iii) cervicocephalic air sac (single); (iv) clavicular air sacs; (v) cranial thoracic air sacs; (vi) caudal thoracic air sacs; and (vii) abdominal air sacs. (H) heart; (L) liver; (LU) lungs; (B) syringeal bulla (male ducks).

Interesting! Thank you!

So maybe it is a, "Look at what noise I can make! Aren't I just so attractive of a catch to make babies with?" type of thing going on. I swear it sounds like farting :gigbut that explanation makes more sense. It must work because little Luna absolutely loves her Noah and Xena has been more receptive here within the last couple of weeks or so. It still makes me chuckle.

I want to get a guard goose. Maybe 2 geese (females) so it can have a buddy besides the chickens. Unless of course if having a buddy will mean that they'll gang up and harass the chickens. I need to do more research/reading. I haven't fully decided. If we do, I think I want Super African breed. I know my Luna is loud. Xena is loud but her quack is deeper and she just doesn't talk as much as Luna. I think if you have a lot of anything it can be loud. I don't mind the noise. I think I would like a couple geese. Not anymore than that tho. Shoot, I want goats and a donkey. Now donkeys are LOUD! I think that I'm gonna have a legit farm before it's all said and done with haha!
