Do any of you have multiple coops?

I'm thinking this topic is like walking into a bar on Friday night and asking if anyone's had more than one drink...................

That said, I do have two coops. With more on my mind.

Coop row... none of em are 100% done yet though

Still some tweaking, LOTS of painting, and fine tuning. 4 coops total

The big one is 8x16 with a run surrounding 3 sides. The one attatched to the front is about a 4ft by 3ft was housing adult layers. The 2nd coop to the left is the breeder pen, 6x8ft with a run out the back, and the tractor for the BR and turkey on the end

I have 8, with two more and a duck house to put together. If it wasn't raining, I'd be working on those right now. Many of them have their own attached pen, for grow-out purposes, and integration. All different sizes. I built, from wood & materials, 3 of them, which were the nucleus of my Chicken Compound.

I am enlarging the main run perimeter, too.

I haven't read any of the answers, but I have 9 coops, and 3 of them are duplexes, one is a tri-plex, and I have 5 more under construction. None is smaller than 8x4x6, and each has a fenced run; most are covered. How many separate pens is that?

I have over 20 colors/varieties and at least a dozen breeds...plus peafowl now.

I'm a bit of an addict, and I have a few birds...

Oh good heavens NO.. Not in my house.

We cleaned out our old workshop and built coops inside of it.. Silkies get dirty, they don't know how to go in out of the rain.. Since I show mine, I wanted them indoors out of the weather. Way easier to keep them clean now!!

I wouldn't worry about a second coop. We have three different coops between 23 chickens. When we let them out in the yard we watch what they do to each other and with some of the new ones I put them together with the others under supervsion. The pecking order is a hard thing to handle with when combining the chickens. Take it slowly and always watch what is going on between them. When the chicks get older, one of them will end up being agressive, might, just might, work with your hens. Good luck!

One? One coop - for a person who has chickens?

Currently have 5 coops and then I also have chickens in my hay shed and chickens in my garage.



Plus chicks in the dining room and a bator full of eggs under the stairs.

Then there's the 6 rabbit pens I'm planning to convert to breeding pens.
