This is precious - we think he is an EE but he does not have a comb... just a red area. It is completely flat. He is 6 weeks old and his comb has been red since he was 2 weeks old. What is this comb called?

I have 2 others with the pea comb they have combs already. This one has no sign of any bumps or bulges or anything. Do you think it will come later? I guess it sounds so stupid for me to ask that but his comb was the first one to turn red. The others got bumpy then turned red. His just turned red. I have what I believe is a female EE also that has the same thing.

It looks like the comb on my bantam Wyandotte which is a rose comb, seems to be flatter than the pea combs on my Ameraucanas. Can EE's have a rose comb?
