Do any of your chickens know their names?

Actually, this thread is making me realize the ones with "y" at the back of their name know their name with much less effort! Lady, Kacey, Worldie, etc. They know I'm talking to them! They respond the best to "come" otherwise, though. No clue why, but they know "come" and tapping as a jump on this surface now kind of command for if I want them on my shoulders. (I've never treat incentivized this)

That’s interesting!!

My girls:
Wheezy, Pippy, Rocky, Coco, Remy, Ginny
Skeeter, Willy, Ember, Jinxy, Mimzy, Nyx, Nova, Powder (but usually called Powdee), Whiskey, Beetle, Dinky, Spicy Boots, and Missy Boots (usually just referred to as "the bootsies" and I call them both "bootsie")

Interesting how many of the names end in an "E" sound or have an ee in the middle (SkEEter, BEEtle).... I'm not sure of any of them know their names, but with the exception of Coco (who is my MOST cuddly chicken ever), only the ones with an "E" sound in their names (or nicknames) are the least bit interested in being around me. 😅

As much as I laughed at this (and you're probably right about the repetition), I have heard that animals have an easier time learning their names if they're 2-syllable and end in an "E" sound. Wondering if there's some truth to that with chickens!

You know, mine will come running if I bongo on their plastic bucket. There's never been treats involved, so it's a huge mystery. Maybe we need to rethink what a name means to a chicken. Yours are clearly invigorated by your frustration! :lau
Oh my soul, I had no idea. Makes total sense! Most of mine know or knew theirs, as follows:
Blacky
Georgy
Zebby
Goldy
Hoochie
Chubby
Pepper
Ginger
Lucy
Lilly
Screemy 🤣
Popcorn
Nilly
just to name a few.

But the most interesting thing, was that my two roosters,(Darcy and Bumpy), know each other’s names!
You see, the rooster relationship in our flock was something like Alpha-Alpha. So they both endlessly chased each other. If Bumpy was ever coming up for a bite, I could yell, “Bumpy, No!”, and Darcy immediately knew to look over his shoulder! And vice-versa.
