do blue and black Standard cochins look different when they hatch?

Wait, I wrote that wrong .... It goes like this:

These are the different combinations when breeding Blue, Black, and Splash (BBS) birds:

Blue x Blue = 25% black, 50% blue, 25% splash
Blue x Black = 50% black, 50% blue
Blue x Splash = 50% blue, 50% splash
Splash x Black = 100% blue
Black x Black = 100% black
Splash x Splash = 100% splash

I thought this is how it went and then you said I could get a splash I was like yah!! well I guess I better pray for at least a blue roo so I can cross the two blues to get that splash!

From these pictures can I assume I have a splash Orp if it looks just like the picture of the orp cochin in this picture? Its very light grey almost white??

Breeding blue to blue will result in poorer lacing and coloration over time.

ok what do you guys think??? are these both black????

Well poo. I could have sworn I had a picture of Li'l Blue when she was a baby, but apparently not. Honestly, I can't remember exactly what she looked like, although if forced to guess, I would say 1 of them could be a blue. I know she had yellow and black and gray fuzz, just not how much of each color. Also, I have bantam black cochins only 5 months old, and can't even remember what they looked like when they hatched out. Oh why didn't I buy the new camera a year ago

We always think we will remember forever, and a month later, forget the details.

The chests on these two are different but thats all thats really different:-( SO I guess I do have 2 blacks well them lets hope between your eggs and my eggs we get some blues or else my girls are getting haircuts on their hoochies as suggested and I might give the roo a little "trim" too oh boy that sounds fun LOL...

Blue X Black will produce blue and black chicks, some blues may be very dark blue when mature. As far as chick down goes it can be hard to tell. Sometimes blues are very obvious, they will be blue with yellow tips on the wings and lots of yellow on the head, with that said, I've also had them(blue) hatch appearing black but feather out blue. Black chicks hatch out black with lots of yellow or white. You will be able to tell soon as the wing feathers develop.
Cute chicks:)

Here's a couple of my chicks for reference.
