Do chickens lay down to eat ???????

I have two EE that are starting to lay down to eat. Is that normal for a chicken to lay down to eat?

Yes and no. If this is the only way they can eat, no. Otherwise they are just very comfortable. Mine do this too sometimes. Even my horse will lay down and roll, then sit up and nibble grass! Good grief! What a life! If they will stand to eat out of your hand, then they should be ok.
