Do chicks ever hatch a day or two early?

I just had 4 araucana chicks hatch one day early yesterday. Thankfully they seem fine with all working and moving parts and they have already fluffed out and came out of the bator to the brooder. They look fine, but now I wish the others would hurry up!

Ah!! Hearing all these things about early hatching is making me uneasy. I really wish they'd come out, im quite impatient right now. Tomorrow is day 20/19 for the eggs... WISH ME LUCK!!!

We has 21 eggs in the incubator due to hatch tomorrow and we already have 9 hatched and 4 more pipped. 2 hatched yesterday. Good luck

one of mine just hatched2 days early. the temps were just right too so i guess they just do it sometimes

Yes. Depends how far along they were when you set them and also how warm your incubator is.

My bantams seem to hatch earlier than the LF eggs. And a few weeks ago, I woke to find a chick in the egg turner. She's doing fine, too. You never know, with chickens.

If the egg hatched 1 day early then the tempt is 0.5 degree high.

I candled some eggs I got locally several times now. The guy told me he had some broody hens, and he was letting one set. I think he may have given me a couple of hers by accident b/c 2 of my eggs (bbs Ameraucana) were very clearly developing after only 2 days. They look the same as eggs I had put in my incubator 3 days before the Am eggs, and still do, while the rest are clearly 3 days behind.

If I hadn't candled, I would probably just think these hatched early if and when they hatch. I think I'll have 2 Am chicks with the lot I put in 3 days before the rest of the Am's hatch.
