Do Chicks LIKE getting beat up??

I have a pair of copper maran chicks ( about a month and a half old) and they are always running down to the big chicken yard! The chicks free range because they are too small to be with the big chickens.... So anyways, I have this cornish chicken that has made it her mission to beat them up when they stick there heads through the fencing...
I have thought about mixing them into the flock... What do you think?? I am really confused about it, and I hate leaving the baby chicks locked up!

I think they are too young to mingle, the olders will beat up the youngers.

Chickens want to be together, but in this case they should no be.

Try a hoop house for the young ones? Ours are light enough for me to slide around.
