We got our first batch of babies today! well.. three out of the six, we have to wait to get the other three.

They are bardrock/road island red mix babies we got from orschelns today. i would say they are about two weeks old with the exception of one, i think she may be a week, the other two are larger and have lost more of their baby fluff, she's still a little fuzzball lol.

I've held the littlest most today, she takes to me easier than the other two babies, (working with them too they are a little jumpy still) she is almost all black with two yellow spots so i wound up naming her salem today lol.

I was wanting to know their happy noises and if they purr because she was making a grinding noise while laying under my chin a little while ago and it made me think of how rabbits grind their teeth when they are happy. didn't know if they could mean the same thing. :)

Yes, when they are secure sounds like a muffled cat purr sometimes.
