Not sure if this is where I post this but if it needs to be moved, let me know.

I've been noticing that 1 of our 2 Gold Laced and 1 of our 2 Buff Laced are fighting with each other lately. Both Gold Laced and both Buff Laced still have mohawks while our White Crested Blue & Black have mostly full round crests.
All 6 chicks are 4 weeks old!

Will cockerels fight each other early on?
Will cockerels and pullets fight each other?

Yes to both questions. The jousting is almost certainly unrelated to sex. Sex hormones have very little effect on behaviour at that age. It's a little early; five weeks is about the time when most chicks start sorting out the pecking order. Sex hormones commonly start to affect behaviour at about twelve weeks.

Chicks will spar to establish that all important pecking order, and it's normal. Given that they all have plenty of space, there shouldn't be any injuries. Game bred cockerels can start serious fighting early, but that's not who you have.
My little guys and gals, eight and ten weeks old, are all sparing and it's cute.
